Yvan Beaudoin — President and CEO
Mr. Beaudoin cumulates over 25 years of experience holding executive positions in technology and medical companies in Canada, US and Europe. Prior to joining Maetta, Mr. Beaudoin spent six years as Chief Operation Officer and Vice President Sales and Marketing at Orthosoft, a Montreal-base developer of highly sophisticated navigation systems and instruments for orthopeadic surgeries. In that position, he oversaw the strategic development of the company, negotiated development and distribution contracts with multinationals of the orthopaedic industry and executed the sale of the company to Zimmer in 2008.
Mr. Beaudoin holds a Bachelor of Science from McGill University and a MBA from the University of Toronto. He joined Maetta in May 2009.
Charles Dupuy — M.Sc., CFA – VP Finance and CFO
Mr. Dupuy holds a bachelor's degree in Business administration and a master's degree in International Business from HEC Montreal. He has also been a CFA charter holder since 2004. From 1996 to 2000, he pursued studies in Tianjin and Shanghai, China where he developed excellent language skills in Mandarin and extensive knowledge of the area. Prior to co-founding Maetta in 2003, Charles worked for three years as an investment analyst in private equity for the Caisse de dépot et placement du Québec.
His past experience includes working as a commercial advisor for the Canadian Consulate in Shanghai, China, acting as the assistant to the director of finance of SNC-Lavalin in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, performing research in Malaysia for the representative of Bombardier Transport in that country, acting as a project director for a commercial mission in Malaysia and Singapore organized by HEC Montreal, and working for Korn/Ferry International in Montreal as a research assistant.
Benoît Julien — Eng., M.Sc.A. – VP Research and Development
Mr. Julien holds both a bachelor and a master's degree in materials engineering from Montreal's école Polytechnique. Co-founder of Maetta, he has been acting as Vice President, Research and Development since the foundation of the enterprise.
He formerly worked for five years as a Research Associate at the Center for the materials microscopic characterization (CM)2 Center where he worked on over 250 industry-driven projects such as titanium parts molding, fiber optic applications, and the study of several different metallic powder processes. While studying, he taught advanced level material engineering classes. He has often been invited to give lectures on material engineering at international conferences on powder metallurgy.
Emmanuel Montini —VP Regulatory Affairs and Quality
Mr. Montini holds a B.Sc. from Université de Montréal and a Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh (UK). Over the years, Mr. Montini has been a member of various boards as well as executive, advisory and research committees for small companies and for national research institutes and consortiums. He is currently a board member of Institut de recherche en économie contemporaine and of the Centre d'analyse et de suivi de l'indice Québec (Université de Sherbrooke) and a member of the Research Management Committee of Mitacs. Mr Montini is President of BCF Certification, a subsidiary of the law firm BCF LLP specialized in regulatory affairs, and he also teaches mathematics, finance and quality assurance for different higher education schools such as Université de Sherbrooke and École des Hautes Études Commerciales. Mr Montini has received many well known national and international prizes and distinctions over the years for his work and his studies.
Mr. Montini has been working part-time for Maetta since 2005 as Vice President Regulatory Affairs and Quality.
